Graffiti Wednesday – Updates from the Permission Zone

IMG_1567

I went by Tulsa’s only Graffiti “Permission Zone” at Mad Dog Liquors at 9347 East11th Street and there were already new works from  just a few weeks before.  My favorites were the “Sunday Demons” above and the scariest doorway I’ve ever seen below.

I really love the bright colors and imagery in both pieces.

Have you seen any good graffiti lately?

as a matter of fact, I did .. some fun colorful tags near the Santa Fe Rail Yards and some interesting ‘arty’ tags on walls and trash containers around the Plaza .. I’ll be posting them eventually ..

    I love that door!

They seem to be just getting started here in Guthrie. Nothing spectacular, yet, just a few tags here and there in black spray paint.

Yep, love the door!! You do have some wild graffiti! What little I see around here are just peoples names and an occasional obscenity, but certainly nothing artistic or colorful!! Enjoy your day!

I like the idea of a graffiti permission zone. That face really is scary. In the right place graffiti can be ok but often it is just a scourge. I posted somne that I liked in a previous blog ‘Above and below stairs at the Southbank’. See what you think.

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog.

Some fine, fun talent out there. The graffiti has such a zest for life. I love the bigness of the imagination, the boldness of color. Uplifting stuff.
