Tulsa’s venerable and recently totally redone from a shell, Mayo Hotel.
From the street during a funky pink sky early one evening.

Oh, wow! «Louis» had forgotten about the Mayo!
With that name, of course there are jokes…
Good to see that it has been rebuilt!
What a great sky!
Gorgeous structure and awesome sky — so glad they decided to restore it!
I love those pink morning skies ..
Love the pink glow in the sky. I was going through some old pics the other day and found a folder called “pink sunset” that was full of pics from a summer evening a few years back. All the pics had this pinkish-orange glow about them.
Oh, yes! I do love those pink skies! Such a soft and lovely way to end or begin a day! Now, as for the name of the hotel???? It is unique! Have a great day!

The MAYO hotel was named for John D Mayo who opened it in 1925. It has no connection to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN or to mayonnaise.
Great pink sky!
The pastel pink sky makes a nice backdrop for the Mayo.
I love the city lights, but only to visit.
Thanks for sharing this one.
THings are pretty dark around here. We have no lights. When the moon shines I have to close the curtains, now, or I cannot sleep!
Cheers from Cottage Country!
That is a funky pink sky. It is amazing what light relection can do with the impurities in the air.
How neat to have the sign atop the building like that! The sky really IS pink, isn’t it?!
Home to my senior banquet and Prom in the Crystal Ballroom. Brings back a lot of fond memories.
Thanks Bill for your post as you’ve answered my question re. the name of the hotel. I thought it was from mayonnaise and was going to write a flippant comment in this compartment! Dang, all the foolishness that jumped into my head has now to be flushed away by sleep. Love your skies Yogi.
Cool pink sky! And I love those old signs like that. Nice, Yogi – nice!
Good shots.
Sydney – City and Suburbs

Has a great art deco look to it.
Very nice shots.
Regards and best wishes
That’s a very special coloured sky above Tulsa.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend.
I ove these architectural shots, Yogi! That pink sky is eerie.
