Drab day to be looking for Ruby Tuesday photographs last week. I saw lots of red over near Orpha’s. Tulsa’s most venerable dive bar.
(No I was not in Orpha’s before I captured this image. I kind of like the tilt, sorry.)
I’ve seen lots of people passed out in front of it over the years. Well maybe two or three in twenty years.
As some of you know, I work for natural gas pipeline company. So I’m really liking their gas meter. Sure looks better than standard utility company gray.
Perhaps outside the bar those meters should each have a sign: “This is not a chair.” :
Maybe a suggestion to the gas company to change to red.
I think Lois just might be right! Fun shots for the day and definitely Ruby Red!

No missing that meter!
It’s easy for the meter reader to spot, that’s for sure.
Around here we have “smart meters” ones that can be read remotely. The electric meters are read remotely as well, except those of us with solar, for some reason they must send someone to read ours. Perhaps it is because of the time of use metering we have.
Well, red helps to brighten a dull day! 🙂
I love me some red….even if it’s on a gas meter!
Don’t lie. We all know you had some Fat Tires in you when you took that picture.
The red meters actually brighten up the plain walls and their curves look like some abstract sculpture!
The red pipes caught my attention and wondered what was their story. 😀 Here’s my RRT.
I always thought it was “Orphan’s” Lounge. This is the first time I have ever noticed that there is no “n”. Will wonders never cease.
What a bright gas meter.
Great shots. Happy RT!
Mine’s here.
Well, at least you didn’t focus on what’s on the sidewalk anywhere near the area. I’m sure that there just may be some well……never mind. It’s probably make me get dry heaves even if I typed the word.
Love what you found tho. And yes, I too love Victoria Texas.
My Tuesday post is: GOING BACK TO Houston, Houston, HOUSTON
Beautiful ruby capture!!
