I’m a big fan of libraries. Tulsa has an excellent system of libraries scattered all over the City and County of Tulsa.
Two views of the sign at the west door for Central Library of the Tulsa City County Library System.
You’ll find me at lunch at the library two or three times a week using their free wifi to play Scrabble and Words with Friends on my ipod or actually checking out books. I’ve been doing that for about 20 years now.
My fellow patrons are in doing their homework, listening to music, reading newspapers and magazines. For some, they are getting a respite from the cold. Everybody is treated with respect. I love libraries.
I love libraries, too! Terrific captures as always — looks like one that I would love to visit! Have a great week as we countdown to the new year!! Thanks as always for your support! Always appreciated!

We are “into” libraries, too. We have an excellent library system here, also, and like being able to download books. Very convenient for reading while at sea! We download when in US ports via our Verizon connection – it would be impossible via the slow satellite connection at sea.
They are indeed a safe, welcoming respite in our daily hours.
Libraries are Awesome. Ours is quite small but I can order books from the region and get almost any book I want.
The world would be a less happy place without our libraries!
I’m also fond of libraries. here, in Murcia(Spain) there are some excellent ones. And my great dream ia having the same one as the Beauty and the Beast at home!!!!Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!
Sadly lots of libraries appear to be being closed down by the Powers that Be!! Where I live, however, a mobile library visits and, whether we need a book or not, the majority use it to keep it going for those people unable to get out and about.
Libraries are the best shared living rooms around. Words with Friends? I hear this is cool. I will have to try it since the coolest of the cool plays it at the public library.
I agree that libraries are great! Sometimes I wish I lived in a bigger town so my library would be a little bigger, though. Cool sign!
