Leon Russell owned the recording studio in Tulsa known as the “The Church“ in the 1960’s and 1970’s and according to Wikipedia he still records there on occasion. Interior Shots. It is an icon of Tulsa musical history.

I do remember in the late 60’s and early 70’s, Leon would show up at a couple of clubs around town and just jam with the house band. Great times were had by all. Thanks for the history lesson.
@P M Prescott – Leon Russell is the main band. He was kind of of rocky. The other bands that I know about are local rock and pop outfits.
@Granny – Their does not seem to be much history available. I’m sure that it used to be a church of some sort.
