Workmen were busy framing this house that was right next to our condo during out stay in southern Alabama during our recent vacation. Something about it really attracted me. I love watching construction and so I could kind of see what the guys were doing while we were doing my beach thing. All day long we could hear saws, hammers, nailguns and such. I loved it. I’m just wondering who is going to be able to afford such a house. It may look small in the photograph but it really is huge.
If they rent it out when they are not using the house, then their renters will pay for the home, but I’m sure that the land did not come cheap. With that great looking sky to enjoy and know that sunrises and sunsets can be spectacular, I’d try to spend as much time there as possible. Very nice image.
I’m constantly amazed at how much some people are willing to spend on a house that is much, MUCH grander than ones owned by any of their friends.
Gorgeous skies and clouds and a terrific capture !! Oh, I do SO agree with EG, but it is a pretty awesome looking house!! Hope you and your family have a wonderful 4th of July!! Enjoy!

Sydney – City and Suburbs
Wow – fabulous shot.
Dramatic sky colours and cloud formations. Such a scene makes us earthlings feel rather small.
What a wonderful shot, I love those impressive puffy clouds.
And with the worldchamionship footbaal in mind, the orange colour of the house beautiful too, of course.
I think that sky shot is one of your best ever. A happy 4th July by the way.
Yogi, beautiful skies! I hope the new place is not too close to the water..
Happy 4th of July!
Nothing better than a beautiful sky at the beach
The intense blue is a perfect backdrop for the billowy clouds. Oddly, it also accents the new construction as if it were a piece of art.
Looks like it’s built on “stilts” which is a good thing in hurricane country like that.
We once stayed at the empress hotel in Vancouver where our room looked out at a massive high rise sort of construction project. Bill was in heaven…he loved watching and listening). Not usually a selling point for a luxury hotel, or a beach vacation) but some guys are just different :)))
What a great composition, Yogi. I thought I lost you – then, I found you here.
