You know sometimes the most colorful skies during sunset are away from the sun. If you look just to the right of the pavillion you can see the top third or so of the Citiplex Towers in south Tulsa reflecting the evening sun.

Truly lovely! And you are correct that sometimes the best skies are in the east (or north or south) at sunset.
Reminds me of the Northern Lights. I’ve seen them only once in my life. It looked like waves of this.

That’s a gorgeous sky! You know I remember when I was at the Grand Canyon years ago and the sun had gone almost all the way down, but then I noticed everyone was looking away from it and that sky was an incredible sight to see, like this one.
