We had storms last night. I’m not generally a macro guy but I liked the look of the raindrops on Sweetie’s flowers.
Knock Out Roses
Sweetie says that Knock Out is two words. Google is all over the place with about 40% one word, 40% two words, and the rest hyphenated.
The Rose of Sharon is not actually a rose. I get so confused by gardening. I just do what I’m told and everything seems to work out.
Those are fantastic photos! I say let Sweetie keep dictating the gardening…your flowers look beautiful! Loved our rain storms last night/this morning!
Terrific captures and gorgeous flowers! I love the raindrops! Hope you have a great day! We have SUN!!!
Sylvia
I think you’ve topped yourself on gorgeous photos this time. Can’t wait to see what you do to top these!
Raindrops always enhance the beauty of flowers.
Sweeties flowers make for some lovely photography on your part, and those raindrops are a wonderful addition.
i enjoyed your rain-kissed roses. terrific shots.
Very nice shots of the blossoms and raindrops, Yogi. So what kind of guy is a macro guy? Just asking. You actually do macro very well. 🙂
@EG Wow – A macro kind of guy to me would know what at least he was photographing. I have no idea, but Sweetie helps keep me straight on the names of flowers.
I especially like that Rose of Sharon, Yogi.
Wish we could get some of that rain over here to knock down all this smoke.
If you don’t know what you’re doing, you must be getting good directions. The flowers are lovely, however confusing the names.
Rose of Sharon has its religious significance, which makes it scary. Your photos are gorgeous.
Even if their names are confusing, the flowers are beautiful! Great job on the photos.
For someone who’s not a macro guy, these are very nicely done.
If Sweetie says Knock Out is two words, it is two words. Period. But you knew that.
Great pictures. We have had rain for three weeks now – what summer? Great post.
Your macros are great and so are the flowers, roses or not, carrying rain drops.
Flowers are always that much more beautiful after a rain storm. I wonder how they come up with those creative flower names.
Great pictures. Love the Rose of Sharon which is related to the hibiscus family. Just beautiful.
Don’t you love the feeling after a thunderstorm? Everything feels fresh… is fresh.
We’ve had some pretty crazy thunderstorms here last week, kids were swimming in the streets!
Wow! Just lovely–and that ‘Rose ‘of Sharon is a knockout!! Bravo job–
These are wonderful photos of the flowers! So fresh and radiant!
I’m loving the rose of sharon even if it’s not a real rose. My fav flowers are tulips. I’ve never been given tulips in my whole entire life. Isn’t that a sad story?
