Wildfire is a steel roller coaster at Silver Dollar City. An amusement park in Branson, Missouri. my wife and son were riding it I was holding her purse and his water bottle.
So I am good for something I think.

Here in Branson we went to see Heather’s friend Raine who works at the Celebrity Car Museum. Raines is not only a car guy, he is quite an artist. He painted the Back to the Future themed mural above and almost all of the other art work in the museum. He is a busy man and generously took time to show us everything in the museum.
One of the special cars they have is a 1981 Delorean DMC-12, one of six used in the Back to the Future trilogy of films. As Raine put it, Heather is sitting where Michael J. Fox sat.
Personally, I think Heather looks better than Michael J. Fox ever did on his best day.
Of course, we had to try the time travel part of the car to see if it still worked.
So here is Logan present day. And then we dialed in four years ago, pushed the button and ….
Ooops, who shrunk the kid!!
Have you ever sat where Michael J. Fox sat?
Have you ever traveled through time? I want to hear about it.
Here we are Silver Dollar City, the big amusement park in Branson
We saw some pretty good bluegrass music by Lindley Creek. I’m not much of a bluegrass bu I liked these guys. They are a family.
Lots of patriotism at Silver Dollar City. Flags and bunting were everywhere.
There is the kid disobeying signs again. Good for him is what I say.
And we saw some things that we couldn’t figure out.
Heather and Logan went on a couple spins on Wildfire, a high tech rollercoaster. That’s them on the far side of the back row. I feel so sorry for them. I’m such a chicken coward when it comes to rides.
Here is the rest of their trip. Sorry for the shaky video. I was scared just watching the thing.
There’s Heather. She loved it and so did Logan. I love this photo of Heather.
We finally found a ride I could manage. This rocking chair. I can rock the chair and eat blackberry ice cream at the same time. That’s good for me!
Anyway, that’s that!
Here is a link to our last trip to Silver Dollar City which was Spring Break 2010. Logan sure has grown since then.
King Kong is on the loose again. This time in Branson, MO.
For a small town in the sticks Branson sure has a lot of traffic!
The family is on Spring Break! Lots of stuff happening with us so no staycation for Spring Break. Staycation mostly turns out to be nocation for us so off we went.
We went to see the Titannic Exhibit. Very, very interesting and you will have to take my word for it since they insist no photos or videos. I’m going to follow those rules. If I was in your house I’d follow your rules!
Then off to the grocery store. This scene lets you know that we were not in Oklahoma. No I don’t have a drinking problem. I drink just fine!
Can you believe how cheap televsions have become. All you peeps from the 60’s and 70’s remember the orange faces on television? And how you would talk about somebody “They have a Sony.” Sony was the gold standard and the pricing was high. And now you can get a 32″ television for $150. Wow!
I love grocery stores. Lots of photo ops there. Remember when Beanie Baby’s were all the rage. Pretty ho hum now, huh?
And the tabloids! They are wonderful. Anybody out there detoxing their glands? Be sure and not tell me about it.
You want a tip? I’ll give you a tip. The big attraction in Branson is Silver Dollar City and it costs $64 per person to get in. If you can go on Thursdays, Country Mart Grocery stores in Branson will sell you tickets for $30. Now that is a deal!! Dont’ say that I never saved you any money.
