Last weekend, SuperPizzaBoy and I ate at Ollies Station Restaurant in west Tulsa.
It is on Route 66 in west Tulsa, on the wrong side of the Arkansas River. The east side of Tulsa is museums, concert halls, and big old huge houses from the roaring 20’s. The west side is refineries, railroad yards, oilfield fabrication shops. That is where the money was made to build the nice stuff on the other side of the river.
Ollies has decent food, it has model trains to go with the food.
Check out ABC Wednesday for my “O”s from all over.
And the Red Fork sign pays tribute to the Frisco Railroad. Love it. I need to stop in there one of these days.
Sounds like a great place for a boy and his dad to eat.
Model trains to go with the food? I wonder how that’s done. It looks all terrific! I wonder if we could find a restaurant in the Netherlands, where bicycles go with the food.
“Wrong” side of the tracks? Looks like the righteous, hard-working side.
(Though I love museums asnd conceryt halls.)

What a fun place for you SPB to have lunch! I think Roger is right — it does look like the righteous, hard-working side of town! But I’ll take the museums and concert halls, too! Hope your week is going well!

Good old Route 66…..Would like to visit some time. Looks like a great place to eat.
I am getting addicted with this blogging hobby, I get to see beautiful places and learn interesting things. Very nice O you have here..
Mind lOOking at my O entry?, have a nice day!
That looks like a boy’s idea of heaven – railways and food. Come to think of it, I wouldn’t mind dining there too.
Wow! Looks like a DDD (Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives) contender! I’ll have to check it out sometime!
I seriously think I should just hide in your trunk! You’re always on the move..I love it!
Excellent prospects beautifully lit, all are beautiful but I prefer the latter.
Looks like a fun place. I would like to park my Caddy there and sample the fare!
That is a really great picture of the model railroad tracks. My grandkids love to go there but they get so busy watching the trains that they forget to eat. Speaking of eating, we need to meet for lunch sometime soon.
Ollie was my grandpa’s nickname. It makes me want to eat there just for that reason alone.
What a fascinating place! And enjoyed the commentary in this post too!
Ooh, I love it. You can always find something great on the wrong side of anything.
It’s nice to see what’s on the other end of Route 66. This restaurant reminds me of the one close to the Grand Canyon with a model train strolling overhead across the dining room.
I’ve been wanting to take my boys there!
