This is a cell phone photo from the lower yellow trail on Turkey Mountain looking roughly northeast across the Arkansas River across south Tulsa. I’ve learned over the years that sometimes the best view at sunset is not towards the sun. I love how the river is reflecting some of the pink in the sky.
Summer is rapidly coming to a close. The temperatures are a bit lower, the humidity is much less, and the mornings are very nice. Autumn is my favorite season in Tulsa.
Great image and great advice Yogi. Sometimes the best photo is in the opposite direction.
Beautiful view!

Have a great week-end!
Simply beautiful. Cell phones take such lovely photos now.
I often take shots at both derections. I love the pink tones of the opposite sky 🙂
Yes, it is wise to turn around and see what is behind you. It could be a beautiful view… or a bear, for that matter!
I have learned that shooting away from the sun is BEST too. There is a road nearby that I take shots on one side and then go to the other side and the sky looks completely different. It is like taking them on different days but it is taken the same day. Awesome that you learned that too! Excellent job!
