I picked up son, SuperPizzaBoy, at his friend’s house earlier this week. I liked the arrangement of the moon in the sky and took a few shots with my Canon. I’m thinking that the bright star underneath the moon is actually the planet Jupiter.
Sorry for the shaky, blurry, handheld photograph.
Check out Skywatch Friday.
Blurry or not it’s a cool shot.
I think it looks kind of pretty like that!
Beautiful shot, love the composition and the colors are awesome! Enjoy your day! Stay warm!

Very cool!
That is an awesome shot! I amazed though that you managed to get an outdoor picture, this week, without SNOW! 🙂
It’s such a lovely photo!
Well it could be. But what it is your shot is beautiful!
Sky Watch Friday
This is a great skywatch shot, getting the planets in too.
Magnificent shot! You were there just at that perfect moment. The fence with the glow behind it is lovely. You did a fine job of composing this one.
What a dreamy shot. Well done, Yogi!
Fantastic shot and lovely timing.
It’s hard to hand hold the camera late in the day. It’s still an effective shot, I like the colors.
I’ll be sure to do my journalistic duty and return to Yosemite, such a sacrafice I make for the blog.
I like this one a lot. I really need to be more mindful of the evening sky. Well done.
wow! what a beauty…..hmmmm…maybe!…lol…:)
thanks for dropping by at my SWF entry…great to be here!
Gorgeous!!
The other night..it was pitch black here and you could see a gorgeous orange horizon like that…very cool!
Wow! A beautiful three in one.
Beautiful and dreamy shot.
It’s a very cool shot. This is exactly what this time of day looks and feels like.
Fabulous – that blur motion really makes the pic!
Love the midnight blue color and the silhouette of the tree!
