Every morning I drive by this greenbelt. At Spring and Fall the sun rises just perfectly.
My “cousin-in-law” Cheri Lu took this photo at her family’s ranch in Western Oklahoma. I love the big skies out there. Even with power lines.
Another scene from the bike ride Heather and I took last weekend. Autumn is Oklahoma’s best season as far as I am concerned. It is really long period of warm days and cool nights. It is time for backyard fires and camping.
Beautiful sky shots especially the sunrise and blue sky!
Before I retired, I had a couple of places on my drive to and from work that were favorite photo opportunities for sunrises and sunsets.
Love that golden light of autumn!
Autumn already??! I really like the greenbelt shot under the beautiful sky. Nice one!!
Beaut sunrise
Lovely skies, Yogi. I certainly feel autumn in the air.
Beautiful post. Fist pic just awesome.
I’m with you on the pros of Autumn, not too hot not too cold, just right.
You do have big skies. Are the trees changing yet?
Tree henge! There is just something about September and October sunsets. No “big skies” in upstate New York, though. The first (and only) time I ever visited Montana, I was amazed at big skies. It really is “a thing”.
Alan,
I’m glad power lines don’t bother you. I enjoy the views of others who capture them but when I do it, then it drives me insane and I don’t need to be any crazier than I already am. lol I like how you described the skies there as “big Oklahoma skies”. I reckon with the flat terrain it gives the illusion of a wide open sky where here in the east we have mountains and hills to block our view. SWF allows me to experience our world through the eye of the camera taking me near and far. I’m always enlightened by the beauty that others share with me each week, too. What a wonderful world we live in!
Autumn is my favorite time of the year, too!
Have a great week-end!
It is coming… Beautiful light.
Thank you for hosting Skywatch Friday.
Have a good weekend.
Beautiful sunrise.
Beautiful autumn sky ~ awesome colors ~ thanks, ^_^

Lovely sunrise! Yogi, do you maintain the Skywatch site? The images stored on Photobucket are gone and you can read about it http://www.zdnet.com/article/photobucket-endures-user-backlash-after-breaking-images-with-ransom-demand/
Your photo posted this week, made me pause and just take in the moment instead of rushing on to the next blog and the next. Very peaceful looking scene.
