This is a shady ramp down from a restaurant on the Arkansas River in Tulsa
At work we had a little maintenance work going on. The cherry picker was in the sunlight for a little bit.
One day at lunch I went geocaching at a park at the Tulsa suburb of Sand Springs. It had been a while since I had been there (several years actually) and they had some cool sculptures cut out of sheets of steel. I love stuff like this.
An another from the “sunny side”.
I love the shadow of trees on a hot day; and shadows from artwork always add an extra dimension.
All neat shadow shots ~ my favorite is the first one ~ lovely place ~ thanks, ^_^

Who could resist walking across a shadow footbridge? Thanks for joining the fun at Shadow Shot Sunday!
I am always amazed at your big cities.
Love the sculptures!
Great shadow shots! I especially like the last one of the steel sculpture.
Wow-what a great lineup of images!
The shady ramp would be a lovely place to take a stroll. I like both the steel sheet sculptures. Have a beautiful new week!
Those sculptures are really nice and I love the way you photographed their shadows.
Enjoyed the shaded footbridge and the cherry picker[we call them the same, but is there a ‘real’ name for those machines I wonder?] And the steel sheet cutouts are simply super!!
Cool shadows!
Alan,
Congrats to you and Heather on years anniversary! Celebrating these special occasions in style is the way to go, too. We used to ride our bikes around Cades Cove in the Smoky’s. It’s an 11-mile loop road through what was a farming/logging community nestled in the valley. It’s a beautiful place. I really miss doing this but it’s so darn hard to load our bikes on top of our car. One day, we need to get a pickup so we can put our bikes in the bed to haul them to the mountains.
Your kitty is a cutie! Here’s to the newest family member. Thanks for visiting. Have a gr8 week!
Oopsy, Alan! I haven’t a clue how this comment ended up on the wrong post. I meant for it to be on your SWF contribution. *slap forehead* Anyhow, this photo session is really cool. I was going to leave a comment on it, too. I wish we had something like this in town. So neat-o!
I really like the steel cut-outs. It’s interesting to me how the artist determines what to cut out so that the image remains.
