Skywatch Friday – Alabama Edition

We are back from our vacation to the gulf coast of Alabama (aka the “Redneck Riviera”). We had a great time as a family and will have lots of memories.

Son always has a good time. He also carries a book with him wherever he goes. That’s a good habit to have.

We cooked a couple shrimp dinners while we were there using fresh caught shrimp. We dined out on our balcony.

gulf state park skywatch-Edit

For the first time we explored Gulf State Park on bike. It is a sprawling park with beaches, lakes ponds, miles of trails, and multiple access points from the surrounding community.

We had a lot of fun and got to do some active relaxing.

Looks like we both had palm trees in our vacations. There is few things better than fresh shrimp for dinner with all the fixin’s.
Always carrying a book is a wonderful habit. I wish I had developed that trait as a young man. Have a blessed week-end.

Hello, I had a chuckle over the aka Redneck Riviera. It looks like a pretty place to a vacation. Nice boardwalk trail. I love the palm trees. Great family photo. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and weekend ahead.

Those first couple shots (with the palm trees) look like the CA coast! Some great photos, and glad you and your family had fun!

Irv and I are going to have to check that place out one of these years. That shrimp dinner looks absolutely delicious. I’m glad you got to relax on the beach!

Wonderful vacation place — that’s a great park — we have stayed there more than once, but never long enough. When we spent a season in that area we stayed at an RV park in Elberta., down the road from Foley…. it was one of our best RV Winters.

Redneck Riviera, hahaha. I think my sister used to go to NC and call it that. Gorgeous shots, not a all what I think of when thinking of Alamaba. I wouldn’t think of seafood either, yum.
