Sunday Morning

Went for a run this morning. When I started the sun had just risen.

But the moon was still up

The Arkansas River was running full

I got there a little late. One of the guys I ran with went ahead without me. We said hello, he headed back to the parking lot, I still needed to run a few more miles. That’s him down the bridge.

Time to quit fooling around, I still have some running to do.

I had some help from my friends Diana Krall, Korn, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Metallica, Martina McBride, Eric Clapton, and Rage Against the Machine.

I hope your early Sunday was as good as mine. I didn’t set any records running but it was very peaceful.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Hebrews 12: 1-2 (NIV)

I agree with Sunny, it does look like an inspiring run and a great way to start any day! And I never realized you were that tall either!! At least in our shadows we can be larger than life! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

I like those self-portraits where I look skinny with long legs! Looks like a peaceful and solitary place to run, Yogi. I’m going for a run tomorrow here in Denver – it will be hot.

Your self portrait with the long legs explains why you’re a good runner. Looks like a good morning to be out at sunrise.

Beautiful shots! Well done. We spent Sunday, and last week, getting the house ready for showing. I’m tired and sad! But hopeful about getting closer to grandkids.
