Thanksgiving 2021

Pumpkin Turkey

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody!!

DSCF0354

We’ve had big Thanksgivings and smaller ones, especially with this pandemic we have been having. This year is a smaller one. A big treat is that we are having Thanksgiving on Wednesday with my brother at his Assisted Living Center. I’m looking forward to that.

It will just be a few of us on Thanksgiving Day. As our waistlines have expanded, we have downsized the meal. We don’t have the appetites we used to have anyway. We use disposable plates for the meal so nobody gets stuck with the dishes.

We’ll be counting our blessings as well. We have lots to be thankful for.

I’m wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving

Glad to know you spent time for Thanksgiving with your brother!

For many years I had Thanksgiving and Christmas at my house with my 3 kids and their families and their in laws. Took me three days to do all the dishes in the dishwasher. This year I passed the torch to my oldest son’s wife. My youngest son and I are going to their house and my oldest granddaughter and DILl’s mom and dad will be there. My daughter in law is making the meal. I’ll only be making Banana Pudding, which is requested at every family get together. I always made a turkey and a ham, she’s decided to only make turkey breasts. That’s ok with me.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and family. Looks like a gold tree in the 3rd picture. Big meal or small meal, most important is enjoying the meal with love ones.

I know it means much to you that your brother was able to be with you on Thanksgiving! What a blessing:) I had one too, because hubby had his birthday on the same day, and that has not happened fro a good number of years:)

So happy you were able to make the trip and see your brother. Ours was at my brother in law’s house and six of us, total. Enjoyed all your pictures and seeing the last of the fall foliage.

A belated happy Thanksgiving. The pumpkin turkey took me back to my teaching days. After using a pumpkin to make a jack-o-lantern with construction paper and pins I would convert it to a turkey for Thanksgiving. After that it became the face for Santa Claus and it if it lasted, covered in tissue paper to me a snowman’s head. – Margy

How nice that you could share Thanksgiving with brother Bob. Bob and I just finished leftovers last night. I don’t think he wants me to put turkey on the menu again for a long while.
