Waterfowl at Oxley Nature Center

_DSC0499

On my recent hike at Oxley Nature Center in Tulsa. I came upon lots of deer but they were skittish and took off and I couldn’t get a clear shot through the underbrush. I also saw a possum but had the same problem. I did come across these birds on a lake paddling around. I didn’t have a very long lens because I was trying for more foliage views than long range photography. I am not sure what kind of birds these are.

I’m linking with Saturday’s Critters. Go check them out!

Pretty scene, it is hard to tell what duck species are there, maybe Northern Shovelers.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day. Have a great new week ahead.

A colorful late Fall with the sunshine peeking through the trees. Nothing like having a private trail — well-deserved pay for getting out there in the cold. (I know I’m such a weather-wimp it is pitiful).
Thank you for your good thoughts for our Canal Cottage. We are here in our winter home and doing fine — there’s work to do but we were so fortunate. Others not so much and that’s sad to see — it’s a different kind of season here in Fort Myers.
