Skywatch Friday – Backyard Dronephotography

We’ve been having scattered cloudy days in Tulsa. Those potentially turn into decent sunset shots. So if I can try and be home then and launch my elderly mini drone up to about 150 feet or from my backyard and see what I can see.

Tulsa Sunset

Sometimes you luck out and get some color and texture.

I love those days. The color lasts only for a minute or two and then it is gone.

I’ve learned to turn the drone to look east as well to see the soft pink of the “reverse sunset.”

Sometimes you don’t get any pink but the reverse sunset is always worth looking checking out.

Nice and dramatic shots. First I’ve heard of reverse sunsets or perhaps I don’t recall. Whichever, we’re lucky when the sun does set to rise another day. 🙂

    Your drone did well.

In Chattanooga area, we’re having nice cool weather in the mornings and evenings, and really hot in
    the afternoons. Can’t complain.

You found some great sunsets with that elderly drone. I’ve learned to look at the reverse sunset, too. It’s worth looking at, many times.

Those are great! Is “elderly drone” a hint that you need a newer one? I looked up reverse sunset, I’d never heard of that. Interesting. I’ll have to pay attention.

Love your photos! It’s always cool to see what everyone captured out there.
Your story about getting caught in the rain with your friend was funny – at least you had each other. Misery loves company, right? lol
