Red River, New Mexico, high in the mountains was home to a bunch of deer.
This guy was watching me closely as I hunted for geocaches in the local cemetery.
Near the ski areas we saw lots of deer.
Near our condo we saw deer close to the river.
Walking the short hop to town we would see deer in the neighborhood.
Ducks liked the area as well. They seemed very acclimated to humans.
This one was ready for her closeup.
I loved seeing the duck convoys patrolling the river.

The ducks found a happy spot on the river.
The one section of river looks like it is moving fast, the ducks are moving right along.

Splendid captures of the deer. Such an awesome animal. Ducks always make me smile. They seemed to enjoy the river. I was watching a video of two ducks rushing in to protect a young penguin from eagles. Brave little things! My estimation of them was always on the high side, and even more so now.
