Scavenger Hunt Sunday – Getting Natural

Happens Everyday

20101122_14

You know what happens every day? Eating, that’s what. Lucky’s here in Tulsa makes great burgers and those fries. Those fries have truffle oil on them. I don’t share them. Southern Living voted Lucky’s as being one of the great food values in the south. What took them so long? Everybody in Tulsa knew it for years.

Upside Down

I have several film cameras made by Lomography dot com. I love doing double exposures with them. One of my favorite things to do is take a picture and then turn the camera upside down and take another pictures. It’s a crap shoot on the results.

Natural

Encountered this beauty while hiking in Mount Rainier National Park in Washing. Nothing more natural than a deer.

Man-made

I found this example of Ozark Okie civil engineering at Natural Falls State Park here in Oklahoma. It barely looks strong enough to support itself but it works.

Looking Down

This is another shot from Natural Falls State Park looking down to the pool where the Falls drop. The Park is beautiful and generally deserted. Scenes from the movie “Where the Red Fern Grows” where shot there. I have posted previously about the park.

Good ones, Yogi! Someday, you’ll be famous for those Lomography shots. I once ordered truffle fries in Aspen – I think they cost $15 for a small portion. I decided I didn’t like them.

very interesting shot for upside down. that bridge is absolutely beautiful. I think I could spend hours and hours there just photographing it in differing light. I have sort of an irrational fear of crossing bridges but I don’t let it stop me in any way because I so love the way they look. They are so pretty.

Oh gosh with a cute deer like that and a beautiful upside down photo how can I ever pick a perfect favorite when they are all great! Perfect series!

I’ve never heard of Lucky’s and I am in Tulsa several times a week. I’ll have to look for it. That is a great shot of the deer. I love the bridge but I’m not sure that I’d want to walk across it!

Lucky’s is on my “to do” list the next time I’m in Tulsa. That foot bridge just may be my favorite image in this set. I didn’t participate in SHS this week. I need to get back on schedule. Have a blessed week.

Great set for the hunt. I’ve never had Truffle Oil on anything. I know it’s expensive and a little goes a long way from watching cooking shows where they use it. That burger does look yummy.

Your Natural shot is fabulous. I love seeing deer in the wild.

Neat looking bridge and your looking down shot is awesome but I’m not sure I could stand there looking down now without someone standing behind me because I tend to get nauseated now from heights.

Honest to Goddess, it seems like this challenge was made for you. I’m wondering if you have an in with the host !!

You commented on my blog that my gallinule picture almost made you reconsider and thing about being a birder. I just wanted to say that’s the exact way I feel about geo-catching when I read your posts about that sport! (Not this post…)
