Exhausted by Art and Earning Refreshment

Today we “did” the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art here in Kanas City during our Fall Break. Or maybe it did us?

We were overwhelmed by all the works in the place. Hundreds and hundreds of pieces, or it seemed like to me, in endless rooms. And it was all magnificent, and by gum we were going to see it all. I’m not sure we saw it all but we looked at it all. We were in there for about four hours and were plum exhausted by it all.

I did get a selfie in though, and I got Heather and Logan in it as well.

We earned our refreshments I tell you!

Did you earn your refreshments today? Tell me about it.

Does completing a knitted hat for my great grandson count? I love galleries but, by the same token, can easily be “over-galleried” if you know what I mean.

I didn’t know Americans used the term “by gum” – I thought it was a Northern term but said colloquially as “eh bah gum” and possibly followed by “thah knows”.

Looks like a fun visit. Neat images, too.

Yep, earned our refreshments, all right. We left the ship after a ten week tour and are going HOME for vacation. 🙂 Our first meal out was lunch at IHop. 😉 Ten weeks at home, then back to sea for another ten…. Life cycles….
