This week, “N” is for New Orleans for me. I was in the Bayou City for a few days almost a year ago.
I just loved the sights and sounds of the city.
The great variety of people and the classic scenes.
New Orleans really is timeless.
There is a surprise around every corner and usually a party.
Have you ever been there?
Thank you Mrs. Nesbitt and Roger
Yep. I was there a few years ago for the national American Institute of Architects convention. Had a great time. Great food. I had an alligator Po Boy that was so good, I had to go back the next day and get another one.
“Way down yonder in New Orleeeens”. Great city. But I’m like so many…great place to visit, but wouldn’t want to live there.”
i enjoyed New Orleans. great place. enjoy your shots. would enjoy visiting again. one day. ( :
i love NOLA …. i was there a year before Katrina and have been back twice since … that Jester used to sit atop a sign near the casino ….
Never been and, sadly, never will now BUT I have San Francisco and Maui several times so I’m more than happy to settle for those two places.
Love the St. Charles trolley. It has so much character.
Still haven’t been to New Orleans but I’m just not much of a city gal.
I was there in 1995. I’d go back.

Great post for N for ABC ~ I love New Orleans ~ son graduated from Tulane so spent a bit of time there ~ Love the jazz and Cafe du Monde and more! Thanks ^_^
I have never been there, hopefully will one day.Looks like a very lively place to visit.
I been there, but your photos make me want to go there tomorrow!
@LeedsLass – Oh yeah, Maui (I’ve never been) and San Francisco are hardly consolation prizes.
I’ve been there only once for a conference and spent a bit too much time fretting over my talk! I love the variety of the city and your captures. Amazing place, worth a return visit.
I’d LOVE to go there as I’ve heard so much about how much fun it is!

Oh Yogi, did I “hear” a little envy in your sarcastic response to my comment about New Orleans? I’ve simply been where my daughter has lived but the one place my late husband and I always intended to see was New England in the Fall as he was a keen amateur photographer. He died before we made it but we loved America and saw far too little of it.
Sadly, I have never been there. I’d love to visit New Orleans as I suspect it’s a photographer’s paradise.
@LeedsLass – Oh I am totally jealous of Maui, plus I love San Francisco.
I went once, very briefly…have to tell that story on my Random 5, come to think of it! 🙂 Loved your use of New Orleans for the N post! Fabulous!
You’re right to have those feelings about Maui. I have suggested MANY TIMES to my daughter that I sell up and live my remaining days there BUT she always comes up with excuses as to why England is better for her poor old Mum!!!!!
A great city to visit! Kate, ABC Team
