It’s July 4th and I spent some time looking for an appropriate poem, song, prayer, quote, blessing and all that expressed how I felt about today. I couldn’t find quite the right thing. I’m just hoping that just for this one day all Americans can come together and celebrate our country.
Happy Birthday America.
Happy 4th!
Very nicely captured. Have a wonderful holiday.
it would be a good thing if our two parties could find detente on a day like this .. happy 4th
Hopefully for at least one day we can put aside the politics and quarrels over what we “don’t” have and focus on and celebrate the many wonderful things that we “do” have!! Happy 4th, my friend.

Happy Independence Day – and many more. I like your antiqued photo of Old Glory. We are in Chattanooga, TN and will stay a second night here going on to Kentucky tomorrow. We are taking a very lazy approach to this trip and enjoying it. This is the low stress approach to tourism. Be careful with your firecrackers.
That would be my hope too. Happy 4th of July to you!
Happy 4th of July. I wish I could be prouder of the current state of affairs. Seems we no longer still live in a democracy.
We tend to keep dividing ourselves.
Happy 4th!
Happy 4th of July to you and your family! My all time favorite song for this holiday is “Proud to be an American” by Lee Greenwood!
Indeed. It seems to me when I am on the road from NC to CT or vice versa that the best flags fly over used car lots. “That’s us,” I think whenever I pass those lots with those gigantic flags. Doing the best we can to get by and pursue a little happiness.
At least you fly your flags Sandy. In England we’re way too uptight to do such things.
