Scavenger Hunt Sunday – Blocks and Colors Edition

1. Color

Mall Colors Edit

Color, color? How about the colors of these decorations that I spotted at our local mall? I thought they were pretty colorful.  I confess, I exposure bracketed the images and then used some HDR technology to amp things up a little bit. I’m not into SOOC. If you are that is great. To each their own is my motto. I’m libertarian like that, on photographic items, not politically. I’m not sure what libertarianism means politically. But you know, I don’t really want to get into that right now.

2. View

ONEOK Plaza View to the West

How about this view from my old office. I got moved from this office to an interior office and now we are moving down to the fifth floor from the seventeenth. Somebody keeps messing with my view, because I kind of liked my old view even though it was actually a cubicle instead of an office. Tell you what, after forty years in the industry I don’t care whether I have an office, a cubicle, or have to share a conference table, work from home or out of my car or go the library. I can work anywhere and have! Still, a nice view is a plus.

3. Stroll

Untitled

I spotted these two ladies on a stroll during a lunch downtown. Mainly I like how they are in step with each other. I’ve read that people will do that unconsciously. There are books that will tell you that mimicking another person’s gestures and posture will induce them to like you. Doesn’t work for me! Nobody likes me. Not really, I’m sure somebody does. Right…..right? Well, okay.

4. Outfit

PICT0146

Well, I don’t have much in the way of outfits. I have this though. This son Logan wearing a University of Oklahoma outfit from way back when. Some of us have been known to call the school “The University of Texas at Norman” because most of the players are from Texas. With wisecracks like this is it a wonder that nobody likes me.

5. Blocks

086

I am a bad Scavenger Hunter! Almost 40,000 images on flickr and not one of blocks. I’ve legos. They are kind of like blocks in my mind. Real small plastic blocks.

Well that is it for this week. Thanks for visiting!! Do have any block pictures? How about block party pictures? I don’t have any of those either.

LOVE Logan’s outfit. I checked the roster this year and there may be fewer Texans than ever before. They are from all over the place. I didn’t have a photo of traditional blocks either, so I had to find an alternative as well. Nice set of images for the week. I think I might be lobbying for my old cubicle if I were you. I could work anywhere, and have as well, but that view was special. I hope the current resident appreciates it as much as you did. Have a blessed day.

Well I like you, no matter what anybody says. And I always enjoy your stretch for scavenger hunt. Nice sunset. Too bad they keep moving you around, with no window. I’d go nuts without at least a view. Don’t lock me in a cubicle.

Thast is quite a sky. Morning? Evening? My windows looked out on fields with pines in the distance. Approaching thunderstorms and driving snow scenes were my thing.

I attended a party recently where they had those lanterns you found in the mall. They change color. Love your comment about the football players 🙂

You sound a lot like my hubby as far as the “no body like me” line. He’s always saying he doesn’t have any friends because he doesn’t like anybody. It’s a standing joke with us.
By the way I like you and your sense of humor too.
    That was a gorgeous view.
Those bows were very colorful and so were the Lego “blocks” – I almost used Legos for that prompt.
Neat shot of the ladies strolling and what a cute baby picture.

Your color is lovely, we have them at the Mall of America and they are fun! Your stroll is my favorite of course, I like the random shot, and your capture of it. I can’t forget the cool legos either, all very nice photos!

The view from your old office is made a beautiful photo. About the stroll photo, I’m not sure if mimicking will make someone like you, but I have seen fights break out because of it!

I’m thinking it’s sad that your office view is changing again! The view will be very different from the fifth floor.

I found “blocks” a challenge too! I like your colourful find.
