Lucky me, no water in the fountain in Winter.

What’s with the green? Hey its a new Holiday Inn.

Actually it was a Holiday Inn 18 years ago, then closed, then a Ramada Inn, then closed, then a Best Western, then a few other names, now, after a very extensive renovation, its a Holiday Inn again..

A refinery – I used to work in a natural gas processing plant, sometimes late at night. Its almost deserted and being all by yourself is pretty spooky. Lots of lights, but not enough light, lots of noise, lots of things that go bump.

A view of downtown from the Arkansas River.

Skywatch Friday – Haikey Creek Park

We have a storm coming, ice. I hate ice. I can see it on the various weather maps inching closer. But I got photographs from last weekend. We went to Haikey Creek Park near Tulsa for a family outing. No ice that day.

Trees in the winter are beautiful. Pretty sky also.

SuperPizzaBoy rode his Triton. Off behind him is Sweetie and our two mutts.

Then we went to another park and did a little geocaching.

None of that right now. Now we are getting ready for a storm. The Governor declared an emergency yesterday before it even hit the state.

I’m having trouble convincing LJ of the seriousness of the situation. He doesn’t seem worried about it all. What do you think is wrong with him?

Oil Capital Skywatch

Christmas Eve Tulsa had only their third blizzard ever according to one of our television news stations. I don’t know if that is true or not but by earlier this week it was still cold with lots of snow on the ground.

I had to work Monday so I took this shot from my office window.

I wish all of you blessings in the coming New Year.
