Orange Beach, Alabama
Why are lifeguard towers so darn cool? Most places I have been I have hardly ever see lifeguards in them. They are very beachy though like this example from our recent vacation to the Gulf Coast of Alabama. We had pretty good weather and great skies while we are there and a pretty good time.
Other than being painted white, this could very well be sitting on the Gulf Coast at………..Corpus!!

Yes, I don’t know what it is about lifeguard towers. They ARE cool (why??) and I love to photograph them, as do many others I know. Nice that you were able to capture #1!!

They are needed here ~ lots of undertows in ocean at times ~ Great sky shot with bench juxtaposed against it ~ nice beach too ~ ^_^

I like this lifeguard tower. I haven’t noticed any lifeguard tower on our public beaches.

Our beach swimming areas (county lakes) are only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, so they are empty most of the year, too.

Yes indeed, I just had to photograph one on our vacation. I’m thinking it might be a fun collection to shoot. Besides, it’s a great excuse to go to the beach.
