Its late September and that means that I am spending a lot of time every week on the River Parks trails along the Arkansas River training for the Tulsa Run 15K that occurs in late October. This is the perfect time to run where we still have daylight savings time and the weather is beginning to cool. Last night I ran eight miles and it went splendidly. I have decided that I am going to sign up for the Route 66 Half Marathon which runs in November.
And the skies are a lot more colorful this time of year. I took this in the street in front of my home.
Congrats to you for your commitment. My husband has this Strava app, but he cycles instead of running. I just walk. But it’s better than sitting on the couch! I hope you do well in both marathons, and these are beautiful, especially the top one- Frame -worthy!!!
I’m not a runner but I do enjoy walking. So many benifits.
Coffee is on
Beautiful skies for running under.
Wow – that first shot is amazing!
Stunning, I love when the sun and the clouds dance like that.
Love that sky over the Arkansas River! Kudos to you for your dedication to running and half-marathon goal!!
Beautiful!
Good shots
Amazing shots.
Nice evening skies, gosh you’re good with your exercise.
Beautiful skies — ambitious plans! Good on both counts. Thank you!!
Both are beautiful shots. Wishing you the best for the run.
I only walk. Your shots are amazing. I love the color at and around the equinox, especially in January. But, oh, so cold.
nice view for a run
Hello, gorgeous views and sky photos. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
Fine shots!! As a swimmer, I don’t derive the photography benefits that you have. Good luck with your half-marathon!
Awesome sky views.
Have a nice weekend.
I used to walk four miles each day, but due to my husband.s health slacked off. Have not gotten back to it and need to. It is hard.
Beautiful colours!
I admire that you are a dedicated runner. Our one grandson named Alex is taking a course in high school to train as a runner. Running keeps him in shape for the Water Polo class that he registers for later on next year. Water Polo is his first love until? I absolutely adore the skywatch image you posted this week. My favorite one is the first one. Glad you still have daylight savings time.
excellent colors in both images even though they are very different.
Run Ala, run! I love the fall too.
Gorgeous skies! I love the dramatic clouds in the first one.
Great looking images. Best of luck in the running competitions. Yes, I think the sunrises and sunsets are the very best this time of year. Have a blessed week-end.
