Big Romance last summer on a ranch in western Oklahoma.
Unfortunately Romeo (the white one) split and hasn’t been seen since. We don’t know whether he made a clean break or ended up being coyote bait.
Danged rascal anyway.

Coyote bait? Oh how sad a thought. I’d much prefer thinking he’s out there on the prairie somewhere enjoying his freedom.
My Saturday Link: HE’S ALL KNOWING…ALL SEEING
Hope you’re having a great weekend so far.
They are so cute, wonderful critters and photo. Happy Weekend!
That is the cutest!
I’m with Annie – roaming free… 🙂
Love your focus in this shot.
Love your critters for the day and what a great shot! Hope Romeo is just roaming free — maybe looking for another Juliet???? Enjoy your weekend!

Romeo has to be roaming free looking for another Juliette! Fun shot! Happy Critter Day!
Looks like a May/December romance!

Such an adorable shot! But sorry to hear that Romeo has disappeared…
Oh so sad for Romeo! I hope Juliette finds another love. I love the tones in your photo.
oh no, poor thing! my parent’s got 2 donkey to keep the coyotes away… =)
I just knew he was a gigolo.
Scandalous!
Great pic, Yogi!
They made a cute couple. Too bad Romeo has flown the coop.
An adorable pair. I hope Romeo has not met a bad end.
I love this shot Yogi. Sure hope Romeo had a happy ending and is living somewhere with a new Juliet.
Nice shot. You captured their motion well in the dappled sunshine.
I thought donkeys were supposed to keep coyotes away from the rest of the farm animals, not be meals for them! I hope he had a better fate than that!
Now I’m seeing this in a different way. I reckon Romeo got tired of his faithful girl Juliet and decided to head off into the sunset looking for a bit of fresh, younger playtime. We all know what males are like who are too good looking for their own good. However, I’m thinking he’s being a Jack the Lad and making hay before the good looks fade – it will all end up in tears for him. No way is he coyote bait, he’s much too clever by half. I just hope Juliet finds someone who’s more faithful and who’ll keep her in the style she deserves.
