A scene from one of my running trails in south Tulsa. The grass is dead, the leaves have dropped and we can see the “bones” of the trees. Trees amaze me how they make space for each other. These two seem like they are dancing.

Wonderful shot of the bare bones of the trees!
I love it. They are dancing. You are so optimistic, I love it.
One of my favorite things about winter is seeing the skeletal structure of trees against a gray sky.
Terrific capture and the perfect picture of winter! And it does have its own wonderful beauty! Enjoy your weekend!

Very nice image. It appears there is an old bird’s nest high in the right tree, too.
They make a scraggly looking couple!
They do appear to have a rhythm.
So, you DO have winter in Oklahoma?!
I think trees do dance with each other. They do it mostly at night when no one is watching.
The leaves are all gone, I guess it must be winter no matter what the calendar says.
BTW, I like that new header, it shows how expansive the prairie is.
I always like bare branches against the sky. Happy SWF!
Terrific shot.

Amazing trees welcoming winter.
Interesting idea. I’ll admit that I prefer trees with leaves (just as I prefer warmer weather). But I love the thought of them dancing 🙂
You’re right. In many ways winter allows us to see the structure of the earth around us.
I hope they’re dancing to something cheery because winter is such a dreary season to me.
I loved EG Wow’s question if you really do have winter in Oklahoma…I’ve been there when it snowed, so…yes:):)
Wonderful photo, lovely silhouettes of bare trees.
You are right, they do look that way. When did our trees lose their leaves? It happened so fast.
