Heather and I went to the Zoo Friday thinking that it wouldn’t be too crowded. Wrong! Every school in Oklahoma it seems was having a field trip there. The kids were here there and everywhere. We came upon this Rhino ignoring it all. He does look sad though.
Hello Yogi, the Rhino is a cool animal.. It is sad to see them in the zoo’s.. I would love to see one in the wild someday..Great shot!
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post.. Have a happy weekend!
Great shot of the tired baby. I remember going to the zoo on a similar ‘quiet’ day.
The rhino does look unhappy. But maybe it was just tired. 🙂
Oh I know that feeling! I’ve actually been lucky enough to be a mom on several of those trips! It’s always the best time ever, but it can get really crowded, and sometimes the people watching can be just as rewarding if not more!
Awww! He does look sad!
hope he has some company there.
Awwww ! Poor guy!! Maybe he hates baby sitting the two-legged ones!!
He does look sad, but sadly there aren’t many left in the wild.
Poor fellow. Maybe he’s just enjoying relaxing in the sun.
This is the BEST photo!!! (I love rhinoceros!!!) You’re lucky to have a zoo nearby where you can see this magnificent animal. (And the zoo is becoming the only place where they are safe. One species is about to go extinct.)
I think the rhinos are often sad in their habitats, because they don’t have enough room or enough stimulus. It always makes me sad. Great photo though!
I know zoos have their place but that rhino looks pathetic. Sure hope our grandchildren still get a chance to see them in the wild. There, they are magnificent.
Yes, he does look sad. And wrinkled! Like me some days.
I think he’d rather be in the wild. Unfortunately, they are being hunted to extinction in the wild by poachers after their horns. It may be that without zoos, they will be extinct.

is the rhino okay? certainly hope so…always enjoy our time in the zoo as well..
I say ” Let snoozing Rhinos snooze”!!
