I went on a hike at Ray Harral Nature Center. Most of the critters were elusive. This fat little guy watched me while I walked by as he ate his lunch.
I could hear birds but didn’t see them except for glimpses of the cardinal.
I still haven’t seen a Carolina Wren in real life. I don’t add birds to my life list unless I see them and get a photograph. I think I am up to eight birds on my list. Don’t laugh at me.
I went on a walk along the Arkansas River and saw these. I think they are seagulls.
That’s a wrap. I’m wishing everyone and their families a Happy and Healthy New Years.
I am linking with Saturday’s Critters.
Lovely series of photos of ‘backyard critters’ ~ thanks,

…I see that you bird feeders are squirrel feeders too!
Hello,
Your backyard squirrels are very happy with your bird feeder and the bird bath.
I usually find the wrens close to the ground, sometimes on a downed tree or log.
I like the scene with the gulls. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy New Year to you and your family, I wish you all the best in 2025. Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
So beautiful pics 🙂
Best wishes for 2025
Happy Weekend
That squirrel sure has a bushy tail…ours look pitiful in our backyard! You had a good hike and got to see and hear a lot. If you had gone with me today…..I saw a Wren and got a photo! Not rubbing it in or anything! haha! That’s really about all I saw except for a few piles of poo from a BEAR!!!. Don’t really want to see him though. Happy New year!
