I went back out to the farm to see the lambs recently. They are growing. Mom is still very protective of them.
She told me that the comments about mint jelly made on the blog last week were not amusing! Not at all!
Time to introduce “Lucky”
She was born two years ago and was rejected by her mother. So she was raised by Sweetie’s friend Karen. Karen calls her “Baby.”
She follows Karen around the farm like a dog. It really is kind of sweet.
I was in Oklahoma City Thursday meeting customers, and then later revisiting the Oklahoma City Memorial. It is one of the most beautiful and sad places in Oklahoma.

Today is “H” day at ABC Wednesday!
Saturday night Sugarland stormed into Tulsa’s BOK Arena on their Incredible Machine tour. Sugarland is the duo of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush. Sweetie and I were not familiar with them beforehand but we are fans now.
They are supposed to be nominally a Country Western duo so I was glad to see the hats. They didn’t wear them very long and I wouldn’t call their music country at all. I don’t know what I’d call it except great.
Jennifer Nettles stole the show is all I can say. She is vivacious on steroids. She sang and danced with energy and was just as fresh at the end of the show as at the beginning. She sings beautifully and with a smile.
Many concerts have cameras with projection screens. Sugarland was the first I’ve seen with HD projection. It was perfect for Ms. Nettles.
If Sugarland is coming to your town I would recommend checking them out. We went out and bought their CD the next day.

“Damage” is a San Francisco based detective novel by John Lescroart. It features newly elected District Attorney, former defense attorney, Wes Farrell, and Abe Glitsky. Farrell doesn’t even get his furniture in his office when he has to deal with a crime spree spread by the son of a rich and powerful San Francisco newspaper family who it happened were big contributors to his campaign.
Farrell has his hands full trying to deal with the situation while dealing with complicated San Franciso politics.
I found the political angle to be quite distracting while reading the book and never quite got into it. What kept me going though was uncertainties about who the bad guys really are and even then, did the bad guys do all the bad stuff? Maybe not?
I give the book 2.5 stars out of five. I mean it is worth reading but I’m glad I got it at the library instead of downloading on the Kindle. I’m intrigued enough though that I’ll be looking for more Lescroart books.
