Skywatch Friday – Something New Out on the Prairie

Used to be that what dominated the sky in western Oklahoma were grain elevators like this one in the town of Geary.

The farmers are still growing lots of wheat in Oklahoma but they have also leased their minerals to the natural gas producers who have brought new features to the landscape.

Skywatch Friday – Lone Mountain

I elected not to do any geocaching because of this sign, and I was the only one in the park, and I was 40 miles from the nearest hospital.

Springtime Skywatch

This is from Perryman Cemetery, Tulsa’s oldest cemetery, last Saturday. Spring is here, the grass is green but the trees are bare, but the weather is warm and the skies are nice.

Note the burial house in the foreground. They are a Creek (and other tribes) Indian tradition that I am researching.
