I spotted this Great Egret on the Arkansas River during a recent bicycle ride.
This is another one. He was standing still and got tired of waiting on me. I was lucky to catch him in flight.
Our hummingbird feeder is getting regular visits now. Problem is that wasps and hornets are also visiting and they don’t like hummingbirds. So I’m trying to figure out what to do about it. I hate to kill native pollinators.
Lizzie thinks we got this tray in the living room for her. She thinks everything in the house is for her!
And our little Pomeranian, Rascal. He is very sick with cancer in one lung, congestive heart failure, and other issues. Vet said that he doesn’t know he is sick so just love every moment we have together with him and we are pumping full of meds and supplements. The weather has cooled a bit so we are taking him on short walks. He sure does love his outings. They wipe him the rest of the day but he’s happy. We are doing our best for him to live his best life.
I’m linking with Eileen’s Saturday’s Critters. Go check it out!!
Hello,
The Great Egrets are beautiful, I always enjoying seeing these beautiful birds.
I am happy to see you have the hummingbirds at your feeders, they should find a way to chase the bees away. Lizzie is beautiful, I love her eyes. Rascal looks to be enjoying his walk, you are giving him a good life.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

Rascal is living his best life! Our hummingbirds share the feeders with other birds, wasps and bees too. Not much you can do about it.
Rascal is very sweet. We used to see an older dog named Rascal on our walks but haven’t seen him in awhile. Love the hummingbird.
I need to get out and take some photos
Coffee is on and stay safe
Linda garza y lindos colibrís. Me gusta tu gato y espero que tu perrito este lo mejor posible. Uno sufre cuando sus mascotas no estan bien. Te mando un beso.
Rascal is beautiful.
So sorry about Rascal.
The wasps are all about fattening up for winter. The hummers need food too.
I thought that some models of hummingbird feeder were better able to discourage the insects. Your water birds are nice.

Cats go anywhere they want. Sorry Rascal is sick yet looks like he’s taking advantage of the last of time.
Our cats know everything in our house is theirs 🙂 Rascal is so sweet and happy I’m so sorry he has all those things going against him, but he does have your love and care going for him. He’s a lucky dog in that way.
Great pix as usual, loved the video.
