This is a backyard shot showing my neighbor’s fence to the east casting a shadow on my fence with the green space to the north. You get a bonus shot of our dog Kodi at the lower left hand corner.

And here is another fence shadow shot in our greenspace showing a fence shadow from a private residence.

And from my last bike ride. A shadow of my bike during a rest and photographing break. I only do photography when I go by mself. I do too much slow wibble wobbling to suit most people. My problem is that I see stuff I have never seen before and I have to check it out. I have been running, walking, bicycling up and down the Tulsa Riverparks trails for over thirty years and I always see lots of new stuff. Often it is old stuff that I see in a new way! Does that make sense?

Shadow Shot Sunday – Dogs and Cardio Drumming

Shadows on a nice fall day in the courtyard at the gym for some cardio drumming. That’s my wife way at the end, Heather leading the class. She makes it a good workout and fun.

In 45 minutes I burn about 420 calories or so.

Shadow Shot Sunday – Chapel Shadows

Deep Shadows under a bright New Mexican sun at the Chapel in Albuquerque. Deep memories also. My sister and her husband got married there forty six years ago.

Shadow Shot Sunday – On the River and on the Mountain

I went on a bike ride this morning on the RiverParks trails and stopped at the Cyrus Avery Bridge on Route 66.

Nearby is the Tulsa Sign Park memorializing old motels and their signs on Route 66.

And then earlier this week I hiked on Turkey Mountain and found this shadow.

And now a reveal. This is the site of Philbrook’s only geocache from years ago. It has been disabled for years. It was a complicated multicache that would take a lot of time but lazy old me thought it out. Most museums are very protective of their gardens and don’t want nasty deet smelling geocachers tramping through their exhibits, dismantling light fixtures, and climbing trellises, fences, and art work so I thought of two places where the fusty but fun museum staff would deem safe enough for geocaching. And I was right! I found it 13 years ago, read all about it here. Oh, don’t bother looking for it if you visit Philbrook, it is long gone.

Flyover Shadows

Hiking on Turkey Mountain I came across this complex set of shadows.

The Riverparks Authority has installed “flyovers” on the trails to separate the suicidal, speedy downhill daredevils on mountain bikes from we more sedate pedestrians.

And, it’s my fifteen year blogaversary yesterday. Woo Hoo!!
